Editorial Policy

Our standards for creating, reviewing, publishing, correcting and maintaining education and career information.

Effective Date: 14 August 2026 Last Updated: 14 August 2026

This Editorial Policy ("Policy") governs the creation, review, publication, modification, correction and removal of editorial content made available through Krishnangan Enterprises, including through the website www.krishnangan.com, its associated digital platforms, applications, pages, communication channels and services (collectively, the "Platform").

For the purposes of this Policy, "Krishnangan", "we", "our" or "us" shall mean Krishnangan Enterprises and its authorised representatives, editors, researchers, content contributors, technology systems and service providers, as applicable.

1. PURPOSE

Krishnangan is committed to maintaining reasonable standards of accuracy, transparency, independence, relevance and accountability in content concerning education, careers, courses, universities, colleges, scholarships, admissions and related opportunities.

The principal purpose of this Policy is to:

  • establish editorial standards applicable to content published on the Platform;
  • distinguish verified factual information from editorial explanation, opinion, promotional material or third-party information;
  • prescribe standards for sourcing, verification and updating of information;
  • minimise the publication of inaccurate, misleading, outdated or unsupported information;
  • provide transparency regarding the use of artificial intelligence and automated technologies;
  • maintain appropriate separation between editorial content and commercial or sponsored content; and
  • provide mechanisms for correction, review and grievance redressal.

2. SCOPE

This Policy applies, to the extent applicable, to:

  • university profiles;
  • college profiles;
  • course and programme information;
  • career information;
  • scholarship information;
  • admission information;
  • eligibility criteria;
  • entrance examination information;
  • fee information;
  • placement information;
  • rankings and accreditation information;
  • educational guides;
  • comparison pages;
  • FAQs;
  • articles;
  • research-based content;
  • newsletters;
  • social media content;
  • AI-assisted content;
  • user-contributed content accepted for publication; and
  • other informational or editorial materials published by Krishnangan.

This Policy does not override any separate Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, Advertising Policy or other legally binding policy published by Krishnangan.

3. EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES

Krishnangan shall endeavour to apply the following principles to editorial content:

3.1 Accuracy

Material factual statements should be supported by reliable and reasonably current information available at the time of publication.

3.2 Source Transparency

Where appropriate, important factual information shall be traceable to an identifiable source.

3.3 Independence

Editorial decisions shall not ordinarily be determined solely by whether an institution, advertiser, consultant, partner or other third party has a commercial relationship with Krishnangan.

3.4 Fair Representation

Institutions, courses, careers and opportunities should be described in a manner that does not intentionally misrepresent material facts or omit material qualifications necessary to understand the information presented.

3.5 Currency

Time-sensitive information shall, where reasonably practicable, identify the relevant year, academic session, admission cycle or date of verification.

3.6 User Interest

Editorial presentation shall seek to assist users in making informed education and career decisions rather than merely maximise promotional exposure.

4. SOURCE HIERARCHY

Where factual information is capable of verification, Krishnangan shall generally prefer sources in the following order:

Tier 1 — Primary and Official Sources

These may include:

  • official university or college websites;
  • official prospectuses;
  • admission brochures;
  • fee notifications;
  • statutory notifications;
  • government portals;
  • regulatory authorities;
  • examination authorities;
  • accreditation bodies;
  • official annual reports;
  • official placement reports; and
  • documents supplied directly by an authorised institutional representative.

Tier 2 — Authoritative Secondary Sources

Where primary information is unavailable or incomplete, Krishnangan may refer to established and reasonably credible secondary sources.

Tier 3 — Supplemental Sources

News reports, public databases, industry reports, surveys and other third-party materials may be used for contextual or supplemental purposes where appropriate.

Commercial education portals shall not automatically be treated as authoritative sources where the same information is capable of verification through an official source.

5. UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE AND COURSE INFORMATION

Information concerning an educational institution or programme may include:

  • institution name;
  • institution type;
  • location;
  • establishment details;
  • courses;
  • specialisations;
  • programme duration;
  • mode of study;
  • eligibility;
  • entrance examinations;
  • approved intake;
  • fees;
  • admission procedure;
  • scholarships;
  • placements;
  • infrastructure;
  • hostel facilities;
  • accreditation;
  • professional approvals; and
  • rankings.

Where a field cannot reasonably be verified, Krishnangan may:

  • omit the field;
  • identify it as unavailable or unverified where necessary; or
  • defer publication until suitable evidence is available.

Krishnangan shall not knowingly fabricate missing factual information solely for the purpose of completing a page.

6. FEES AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Course fees and related financial information may vary according to:

  • academic year;
  • semester;
  • programme;
  • specialisation;
  • campus;
  • category;
  • quota;
  • domicile;
  • scholarship;
  • management seat;
  • government seat;
  • refundable deposit;
  • hostel selection; or
  • other institutional conditions.

Accordingly, where reasonably practicable, published fee information shall state or preserve the applicable basis.

A semester fee shall not knowingly be represented as an annual fee, and an annual fee shall not knowingly be represented as the total programme fee unless supported by the relevant source.

Users should independently confirm current fees with the relevant institution before making financial or admission decisions.

7. ADMISSIONS, ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

Admission requirements may change between academic cycles.

Krishnangan shall endeavour to identify the applicable admission cycle where relevant.

Eligibility criteria shall not knowingly be generalised across programmes where different programmes have materially different eligibility requirements.

Similarly, an entrance examination applicable to one programme shall not knowingly be represented as mandatory for all programmes of an institution unless supported by an authoritative source.

Admission information published on the Platform is informational in nature and does not constitute an admission offer, guarantee, reservation of seat or representation by the relevant institution.

8. ACCREDITATION, RECOGNITION AND PROFESSIONAL APPROVALS

Krishnangan shall endeavour to distinguish between:

  1. recognition applicable to the institution as a whole;
  2. accreditation applicable to an institution or defined programme;
  3. professional approval applicable to a specific programme, school or discipline; and
  4. ranking or assessment issued by an external organisation.

An approval applicable to one programme shall not knowingly be represented as approval of all programmes offered by an institution.

9. PLACEMENT INFORMATION

Placement information may include, where verified:

  • placement year;
  • participating cohort;
  • placement percentage;
  • median package;
  • average package;
  • highest package;
  • participating recruiters;
  • internship information; and
  • employment outcomes.

Placement information shall not constitute a guarantee that any present or future student will receive employment, placement, internship, salary or other career outcome.

Where third-party placement claims cannot reasonably be substantiated, Krishnangan may decline to publish such claims.

10. RANKINGS, RATINGS AND COMPARISONS

Where rankings issued by third parties are published, Krishnangan should identify the ranking body, year and relevant category where reasonably available.

Where Krishnangan develops its own ranking, scoring or comparison methodology, the material basis of such methodology should be disclosed separately.

No institution shall be guaranteed a particular editorial ranking solely in consideration of payment, partnership or advertising expenditure.

Comparison tools may rely on structured information obtained from multiple sources and are intended to assist users in research. Users should not treat any comparison result as the sole basis for an education or career decision.

11. SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Scholarship information may be published where sufficient information is available concerning:

  • scholarship provider;
  • eligibility;
  • award or benefit;
  • application process;
  • applicable institution or programme;
  • deadline; and
  • source.

Scholarship availability may change without prior notice.

Krishnangan does not guarantee the award, continuation, amount or availability of any scholarship unless expressly stated otherwise in a legally binding agreement.

12. CAREER CONTENT

Career information published by Krishnangan may include educational pathways, relevant courses, skills, occupational descriptions, typical opportunities and general career guidance.

Career information is intended for educational and informational purposes.

Employment markets, salaries, professional licensing requirements and career outcomes may vary by jurisdiction, industry, qualification, economic conditions, individual performance and other circumstances.

Krishnangan does not guarantee employment or earnings.

13. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AUTOMATED CONTENT

Krishnangan may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation or other computational technologies to assist with:

  • research organisation;
  • content structuring;
  • summarisation;
  • classification;
  • metadata generation;
  • search;
  • recommendations;
  • editorial analysis;
  • quality control; and
  • content drafting.

AI-generated or AI-assisted output shall not, merely by virtue of having been generated by a technology system, be treated as an authoritative factual source.

Material factual information generated or transformed through AI should, where appropriate, be checked against available source material before publication.

Krishnangan may maintain machine-readable data structures, entity relationships and structured information for the purposes of search engines, answer engines, generative systems and user-facing discovery.

14. EDITORIAL REVIEW

Editorial content may undergo one or more of the following processes before or after publication:

  • source verification;
  • factual review;
  • formatting review;
  • grammatical review;
  • SEO review;
  • structured-data review;
  • duplication review;
  • copyright review;
  • automated validation; and
  • human editorial review.

The level of review may vary according to the nature, risk, complexity and source of the information.

Krishnangan respects intellectual property rights.

Content created for Krishnangan should, except where lawfully licensed or otherwise legally permitted:

  • be original;
  • be appropriately attributed where required;
  • not reproduce substantial copyrighted content without permission;
  • not knowingly infringe copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights; and
  • not present third-party proprietary content as original Krishnangan content.

Indian copyright law recognises exclusive rights in protected works and provides defined exceptions, including certain forms of fair dealing.

Where information is derived from another source, Krishnangan may independently summarise, analyse, restructure or report factual information without reproducing protected expressive content beyond what is legally permitted.

16. IMAGES, LOGOS AND MEDIA

Institutional logos, photographs, videos, brochures, graphics and other media shall be used only where Krishnangan reasonably believes that such use is:

  • authorised;
  • licensed;
  • supplied for publication;
  • publicly usable under applicable terms; or
  • otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Third-party trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

Their appearance on Krishnangan does not, by itself, imply partnership, endorsement or affiliation.

17. SPONSORED, PROMOTIONAL AND COMMERCIAL CONTENT

Editorial content and paid promotional content should be distinguishable.

Content for which Krishnangan receives payment, consideration, sponsorship or another material commercial benefit may be identified through disclosures such as:

  • Sponsored;
  • Promoted;
  • Advertisement;
  • Partner Content; or
  • another reasonably clear disclosure appropriate to the context.

Krishnangan shall not knowingly publish materially misleading promotional claims merely because such claims are supplied or paid for by an advertiser.

The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 establishes protections against unfair and misleading commercial practices, and the Central Consumer Protection Authority has issued guidelines addressing misleading advertisements and endorsements.

18. EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

A commercial relationship between Krishnangan and an institution, consultant, advertiser or other partner shall not automatically entitle that party to:

  • favourable editorial coverage;
  • suppression of accurate material information;
  • guaranteed ranking;
  • guaranteed recommendation;
  • removal of legitimate criticism;
  • preferential factual treatment; or
  • alteration of verified data.

Where an actual conflict of interest is material to the user's understanding of content, Krishnangan may provide an appropriate disclosure.

19. USER REVIEWS AND USER-GENERATED CONTENT

Where Krishnangan permits reviews, comments, questions, answers or other user-generated content, such content represents the views of the relevant contributor and not necessarily those of Krishnangan.

Krishnangan may moderate, restrict, refuse or remove content that:

  • is unlawful;
  • is defamatory;
  • is deceptive or fraudulent;
  • infringes intellectual property;
  • contains personal or sensitive information improperly disclosed;
  • constitutes spam;
  • contains impersonation;
  • contains threats or harassment;
  • promotes unlawful conduct;
  • is irrelevant;
  • is materially misleading; or
  • otherwise violates Platform policies.

Nothing in this clause obligates Krishnangan to publish every contribution received.

20. PROHIBITED EDITORIAL PRACTICES

Krishnangan editorial personnel and automated systems shall not knowingly:

  • invent factual statistics;
  • fabricate sources;
  • create fictional rankings and represent them as independent rankings;
  • knowingly publish false admission deadlines;
  • knowingly publish fabricated fees;
  • knowingly attribute non-existent approvals;
  • manufacture testimonials;
  • create fake reviews;
  • represent advertising as independent editorial analysis without appropriate disclosure;
  • plagiarise protected third-party content;
  • manipulate information with the intention of materially deceiving users; or
  • guarantee admission, scholarship, placement or employment unless lawfully authorised to provide such guarantee.

21. CORRECTIONS POLICY

Krishnangan recognises that education-related information changes frequently.

Where a material factual error is identified, Krishnangan may:

  • correct the relevant content;
  • update the underlying data;
  • amend the academic year;
  • remove inaccurate information;
  • add clarification;
  • replace outdated source information; or
  • temporarily unpublish affected content pending verification.

Minor typographical, formatting or grammatical changes may be made without a correction notice.

Material corrections may, where appropriate, include an update date or correction notice.

22. REQUESTS FOR CORRECTION

Educational institutions, regulators, users and other interested persons may submit requests to correct potentially inaccurate information.

A correction request should, wherever practicable, include:

  1. the relevant page URL;
  2. identification of the disputed information;
  3. the proposed correction;
  4. authoritative supporting evidence; and
  5. contact details of the requesting person.

Krishnangan reserves the right to independently verify information before making a correction.

Submission of a correction request does not create an automatic right to alteration or removal of content.

23. REMOVAL REQUESTS

Krishnangan may consider removal requests where content:

  • infringes applicable law;
  • violates intellectual property rights;
  • contains unlawfully disclosed personal data;
  • is demonstrably false;
  • relates to an entity that does not exist or is fraudulently represented;
  • creates a material risk of user deception; or
  • is otherwise inappropriate for continued publication.

A disagreement with accurate editorial information does not, by itself, require its removal.

24. PERSONAL DATA

Personal data obtained or processed in connection with editorial activities shall be handled in accordance with Krishnangan's Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Where information concerns minors, students or other individuals, Krishnangan shall take reasonable care not to publish unnecessary personal information without an appropriate lawful basis.

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 establishes obligations concerning lawful processing, notice, consent and children's personal data, with implementing rules notified in 2025.

Detailed practices relating to collection, use, storage, sharing, retention and rights concerning personal data should be governed by the Platform's separate Privacy Policy.

Krishnangan may provide links to:

  • universities;
  • colleges;
  • government authorities;
  • scholarship providers;
  • examination portals;
  • application systems; and
  • other external websites.

Such links are provided for informational or convenience purposes.

Krishnangan does not control all third-party websites and is not responsible for changes to external content, availability, security, privacy practices or terms.

Users should verify material information directly with the relevant source before taking consequential action.

26. NO ADMISSION OR EDUCATIONAL GUARANTEE

Nothing published on Krishnangan shall be construed as:

  • guaranteed admission;
  • guaranteed eligibility;
  • guaranteed scholarship;
  • guaranteed placement;
  • guaranteed employment;
  • guaranteed salary;
  • guaranteed examination success; or
  • guaranteed educational outcome,

unless such guarantee is expressly provided under a separate legally binding arrangement by a party authorised to provide it.

Admission decisions remain subject to the policies and discretion of the relevant educational institution and applicable authorities.

27. INFORMATIONAL NATURE OF CONTENT

Content published by Krishnangan is intended primarily for informational, educational, research and discovery purposes.

Users remain responsible for independently verifying material information before:

  • applying to an institution;
  • paying fees;
  • submitting documents;
  • accepting admission;
  • selecting a career;
  • taking an examination;
  • entering into a contract; or
  • making another consequential education or financial decision.

28. CONTENT FRESHNESS

Certain information may become outdated after publication due to changes made by institutions, governments, regulators or other parties.

Where practical, Krishnangan may maintain:

  • academic year labels;
  • publication dates;
  • last reviewed dates;
  • source dates; or
  • verification status.

A historical page shall not necessarily be treated as inaccurate solely because a subsequent academic cycle has commenced, provided the applicable period is reasonably clear.

29. SEARCH, SEO, AEO, GEO AND AI OPTIMISATION

Krishnangan may structure content to improve accessibility and discoverability through:

  • search engines;
  • answer engines;
  • generative AI systems;
  • structured-data systems;
  • recommendation systems; and
  • internal search and discovery tools.

Such optimisation may include:

  • semantic headings;
  • FAQs;
  • structured data;
  • entity relationships;
  • metadata;
  • summaries;
  • tables;
  • internal linking;
  • machine-readable attributes; and
  • source/freshness signals.

Editorial optimisation shall not knowingly justify the introduction of materially false or misleading information.

Accuracy shall take precedence over keyword density, ranking opportunity or automated content-generation volume.

30. AMENDMENTS TO THIS POLICY

Krishnangan may amend this Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • changes in law;
  • regulatory requirements;
  • Platform functionality;
  • editorial procedures;
  • AI technology;
  • business operations; or
  • industry practices.

The revised Policy shall become effective when published on the Platform unless a different effective date is specified.

The "Last Updated" date appearing at the beginning of this Policy shall identify the most recent revision.

31. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Relevant legal frameworks may include, as applicable, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Copyright Act, 1957, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules, regulations, notifications and amendments issued thereunder.

Nothing in this Policy shall exclude or limit any right, obligation, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

32. GRIEVANCES, CORRECTIONS AND EDITORIAL CONTACT

Requests concerning:

  • factual corrections;
  • copyright concerns;
  • inaccurate institution information;
  • editorial complaints;
  • removal requests; or
  • other matters relating to content

may be submitted through the contact mechanism designated by Krishnangan.

Editorial Contact: [Insert Email Address] Grievance Contact: [Insert Grievance Email Address] Postal Address: [Insert Registered/Business Address]

Krishnangan may require reasonable evidence to verify the identity, authority or factual basis of a request before taking action.

33. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Policy is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a competent authority, such provision shall, to the extent necessary, be severed or limited without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

34. NO WAIVER

Failure by Krishnangan to enforce any provision of this Policy in a particular instance shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision or any other provision subsequently.

35. ACCEPTANCE AND APPLICATION

This Policy constitutes Krishnangan's internal and public editorial standard regarding content governed by it.

Publication of content on the Platform shall be subject to this Policy together with other applicable Krishnangan policies and applicable law.

Where there is a conflict between this Policy and mandatory law, mandatory law shall prevail.
