Corrections Policy

How Krishnangan receives, verifies and applies corrections to education and career information.

Our commitment

Krishnangan is committed to publishing information that is accurate, current and supported by identifiable sources. We welcome correction requests that help users rely on dependable education and career information.

Verified information takes priority over complete-looking information. If a correction cannot be verified, Krishnangan may leave the field unpublished rather than guess or alter it without evidence.

What may be corrected

A request may concern factual information about universities, colleges, courses, fees, eligibility, intake, admissions, examinations, approvals, accreditation, scholarships, placements, facilities, contact details or other information published on Krishnangan.

Who may submit a correction

Correction requests may be submitted by students, parents, educators, institutions, authorised institutional representatives, regulators, government bodies, subject-matter experts or any person who identifies a potentially inaccurate factual statement.

Information required with a request

The request should provide enough information for independent review, including:

  • the exact Krishnangan page URL;
  • the field or statement believed to be incorrect;
  • the current published value and the proposed correction;
  • the relevant academic year or admission cycle;
  • an official source URL or supporting document; and
  • the requester's name, email address, institution and role, where applicable.

Verification and source priority

Krishnangan verifies correction requests before applying changes. Sources are generally considered in the following order:

  1. regulator or government source;
  2. official institution source;
  3. other authoritative source; and
  4. reliable secondary source.

Academic-year-specific information is validated against the year stated in the request. Current information is not substituted for a historical year, and historical information is not presented as current.

Where reliable sources conflict, Krishnangan may seek clarification, identify the conflict, retain the best-supported value, or leave the field unpublished until the conflict can be resolved. A request alone does not establish that a correction is accurate.

How corrections are treated

Minor corrections, such as typographical, formatting or clearly non-material errors, may be applied without a correction notice. Material corrections affecting a user's understanding or decision may include an updated date, clarification or correction notice.

Historical information may be retained where it remains relevant to the academic year or period described. It may be labelled, clarified or archived rather than rewritten as though the newer information had always applied.

Requests are reviewed within a reasonable period, taking account of the nature of the issue, the evidence supplied, the need for independent verification and the availability of authoritative sources.

Editorial independence

Advertisers, partners and paying institutions receive no preferential correction treatment. The same evidence and verification standards apply to all requests.

Accurate, relevant and lawfully published information is not removed or changed merely because an institution or other person disagrees with it. Krishnangan may request further evidence before deciding whether any alteration is justified.

Submit a correction

A dedicated correction contact or submission form has not yet been published. The request structure below is ready for use when that contact mechanism is designated. No submission is sent from this page.
